Well, that’s exactly what we look at when we find out the fastest century in every IPL season from 2008 to 2023.
Please note that we only consider the fastest century in that year, so there may be a few ball less centuries in that year that could be missed. Okay so let’s get to it.
Fastest Century in Any IPL Season From 2008 to 2023 2008 – Adam Gilchrist vs MI – 42 balls
In 2008, a total of 6 centuries were hit that year, the fastest of the lot coming from Adam Gilchrist. Gilchrist scored a stunning century against MI in just 42 balls. It was an epic run by Deccan Chargers who scored 155 in just 12 overs. Gilchrist’s 109 consisted of 9 fours and 10 sixes and an eventual strike rate of 231.9.

The pandemic year 2020 saw a total of 5 centuries that year with the fastest coming from Mayank Agarwal. Agarwal as an opener has been quite productive for Punjab Kings in 2020 and this particular bench has entered into a loss cause.
