The Indian women’s team will be led by captain Harmanpreet Kaur and vice-captain Smriti Mandhana and will consist of 15 members with 3 players waiting as India prepares to hunt for Commonwealth Games medals in cricket for the first time. time

India recently beat Sri Lanka 2-1 in the pre-tournament round. “We have touched all the bases,” head coach Ramesh Powar said of India’s preparations for the tournament. “The batting has been slow so we didn’t expect them to play too many games but Harmanpreet, Shafali (Verma), Jemimah (Rodrigues) and Smriti (Mandhana) are on the right track with the batting.”
