IPL 2023 is currently in its second week, but we have already seen some amazing matches. Individual batting and support from other batsmen can lead a batsman to score well, a game without support is a performance.
Most Runs In Ipl History (2008 2019): List Of Highest Run Scorers In Ipl
That’s what we saw when the Punjab Kings batting line-up was strong only with Shikhar Dhawan. Out of 143 matches between Punjab Kings and SRH, Dhawan himself played 99 matches. That knock should be in the top 5 for a team’s highest % of runs scored by a player in the IPL.
So how do we analyze all the matches in the last 5 years i.e. from 2018 to 2023 and find out the top 5 knocks by an IPL player and the most runs by a team? Well, let us explore the same in this article.
At number 5, we have KL Rahul who has been a lone hero battling Rajasthan Royals in 2018. Chasing 159, KL fought till the end but other players fell like a pack of cards. Unfortunately KL Rahul scored 95, 66.5% of the team’s run rate and Stoinis scored the second highest with 11. Unfortunately, Punjab lost that match but an inspired effort by KL Rahul.
At number 4, we have Quinton de Kock as the only foreign player in the list. This was another performance by KL Rahul as the duo put on 210 runs without losing a wicket in 20 overs. De Kock scored 140 runs off 70 balls compared to KL Rahul who scored 68 runs off 51 balls. Thankfully, KL Rahul’s slow batting didn’t affect the Giants as Rinku Singh’s half-off saw them win by 2 runs.

Number 3 sees a knockout involving Rishabh Pant. It was in 2018 that Rishabh Pant reached his peak in batting. The innings featured all-rounder Bhuvneshwar Kumar and spin wizard Rashid Khan, but Pant couldn’t save it. He single-handedly bowled the SRH bowling line-up, scoring 68.45% of the team’s runs. While Pant scored 128 runs, Harshal, the second highest scorer for Delhi, scored 24 runs.
The most recent thing is size, and this is arguably the most important knock. What sets this knock apart from others is that it comes from a player who is almost done with his career. The Punjab captain batted from the first over to the 20th over to take an unbeaten 99 off 66 balls to take Punjab to a respectable total of 143 runs. It’s a shame he didn’t get a hundred, but he got the player of the match despite his knock.
Same Punjab team, different captain, but same result KL Rahul stepped in front of Dhawan to knock out the one-man team from 2021. Punjab needed a captaincy knock to top the tournament and KL Rahul did just that. Chasing 139 runs against CSK by scoring 98 off 42 balls. KL Rahul was in top form as he made a mockery of the chase, helping Punjab chase down 139 runs in just 13 overs.
So, here are the top 5 knocks and most runs scored by a player in IPL from 2018-23. Please watch this space for all updates of the article in near future.

We have seen a big blow at the bat destroy the spirit of the opposing team.
The single biggest thing that makes the short form of cricket so exciting is the batsmen’s attack, which keeps the fielding team on a losing streak. After all, T20 is a batting game. In the end, RR managed to register the most successful chase in IPL history.

Thanks to Steven Smith’s 27-ball 50 and Sanju Samasoni’s brilliant 85 at 202.38. Despite these 2 excellent contributions, RR was in danger and was certain to lose, but for Rahul Tewatia’s brilliant knock of 53 off just 31 balls. He hit 5 huge sixes on Sheldon Cottrell and 7 sixes in total. The text of this game is amazing for RR and fans who can go miles to watch the game when the same text is displayed. Imagine Jofra Archer scoring 13 off 3 balls to deliver the result. This entire cricketing story cannot ignore the power-hitting shown by Mayank Agarwal, 106 off 50 balls, and KL Rahul, 69 off 54 balls, and Nicholas Pooran, who scored 25 off 8 balls. The batsmen were so happy in this game that the fight and the field did not come to mind. How could anyone forget Nicholas Pooran’s heroic effort that saved a jaunty Rhodes six-point performance on his day.
