The official Twitter handle of the International Cricket Council (ICC) was trolled as a crew for a major blunder during India’s series-decider against Bangladesh on Wednesday. After losing the series opener to the hosts, Rohit Sharma-led Team India managed to take on Bangladesh star Mehdi Hasan Miraj in the second ODI of the bilateral series at the Shere Bengal National Stadium.

Bangladesh captain Liton Das won the award and the hosts elected to bat first in the series. While sharing the latest information about the coin in Dhaka, the world cricket governing body made an unfortunate gaffe on Twitter. While sharing the toss update for the 2nd ODI between Bangladesh and India, the ICC posted a photo of the Canadian cricket team. Noting the now-deleted post, netizens called out the ICC as the world governing body is being mercilessly trolled on the microblogging site.

In Dhaka, Mahmudullah and Miraj were informed about the upcoming match between India and Bangladesh and laid the foundation for a challenge in the 50 over competition. Mahmudullah scored 77 off 96 balls while star batsman Miraj extended his impressive run by scoring his maiden century in ODI cricket. Mirage is the second batsman to score a century while batting at number 8 or lower in the 50-over format.

Mirage remained unbeaten on 100 off 83 balls as Das-led Bangladesh managed to post 271-7 in 50 overs. Washington emerged as the pick of the bowlers for the Rohit-led side in the 2nd over. Sundar took three wickets and collected 37 runs in 10 overs. Pacers Mohammad Siraj and Umran Malik shared four wickets in the last game of the three-match series. Earlier, India feared injury as captain Rohit was admitted to the hospital for a scan. Rohit hurt his left thumb while trying to catch on the 2nd day.
