Delhi Capitals retain the highest number of players when looking at the official final retained squad, player list and balance of all 10 teams for IPL 2023.

November 15th! Remember the date when the IPL 2023 officially starts with the retention of players for the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League. All the 10 teams have retained a total of 163 players for IPL 2023. This includes 113 Indian players and 50 foreign players.

Ipl Winner Team

Delhi Capitals retained the most players with 20. They are followed by CSK, Gujarat Titans and RCB who retained 18 players each. Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals retained 16 players each. On the other hand, LSG retained 15, KKR – 14, and SRH – 12 players.

In terms of purse value, of the INR 950 crore allocated to 10 teams, INR 731.5 crore was used to retain 163 players; that is around 4.5 crores per player. As INR 12.3 Crores were also deducted for wrongly dividing the salaries of the players retained in 2022.

Teams now have 87 players available, but no more than 30 outfield players available for purchase. The 10 teams can spend a total of INR 206.5 crores on these 87 players. LSG, RR and SRH have a maximum of 4 foreign players available for auction.

The IPL 2023 auction will be held on December 23 in Kochi. Before that, teams have more than a month to think about the players they want to sign. The performance of Kolkata Knight Riders with their detention remains a mystery. They could keep only 14 players, but they have the smallest purse; ie INR 7.05 Crores. RCB looked at their best as they kept almost 18 players and released only 4 players. They let go of Aneeshwar Gautam, Cham Milind, Luvneet Sisodia and Sherphan Rutherford and traded Jason Behrendorf to the Mumbai Indians. RCB now have INR 8.75 crores in their purse and have a cap of 7 players including a maximum of 2 foreign players.

Sunrisers Hyderabad shocked everyone as the leader they trusted in 2022, now Kane Williamson has been released in 2023. Apart from this, SRH released 11 other players including the likes of J.
