Gambling expert Steve Bori has written several articles for us sharing his gaming tips and here is his take on the game of roulette:
Which Outside Bets Are Best for Winning in Roulette?
As mentioned in our chapter on the history of roulette, the game has been around for hundreds of years and although the technology has changed, the basic rules of the game have not.
Our guide to playing roulette uses the online version of the game as an example, although the same principles apply to physical play as well.
The European Roulette wheel has a total of 37 numbers consisting of a green zero and then the numbers 1 to 36 evenly split between black and red. Note that the American Roulette wheel has 38 pockets, as it also includes a green pocket with a double zero, making it a less player-friendly version of roulette. You will have many options to choose from when playing online roulette.
Our example uses images from the classic roulette game – the European version of the game by Playtech.
Reinventing Roulette: The Different Bias You Can Enjoy The Classic Table Game
To choose a bet size, first click on one of the chip symbols and then click on the area of the board you want to bet on. ‘Outside bets’ such as red/black offer low odds with a high probability of success. You can also place ‘Inside bets’ on single numbers or groups of numbers, or ‘Adjacent’ bets on groups of adjacent numbers. Double your bet size by clicking the ‘x2 double’ button. This table has a minimum bet limit of $1, meaning that each individual bet must be at least $1 and no more than $100.
Click the spin button and the wheel will spin in one direction and the ball in another direction. It mimics how a wheel turns in bricks and mortar. The difference is that instead of a croupier spinning the wheel, online roulette uses random number generation software to create completely random wheel spins.
When the wheel stops spinning, the ball settles into the pocket. Winnings are paid based on the pocket the ball lands in.
In our example, the ball lands in the pocket on the number 13, i.e. ‘3rd 12’ and the ‘as’ bet is lost and the bet on black wins.

Our roulette odds and payouts article will give you more information about betting and the returns on successful bets. When playing online, you simply select the value of your betting chips and click on the appropriate part of the board. When you visit a physical game, you slide your chips into the section you want to bet on.
Although the gameplay is the same whether you’re playing on a phone or a laptop, there are a few differences to keep in mind.
One important difference is that online players will have many more options to play roulette than traditional games. For example, offline players may be forced to use an American roulette table with a high house edge, while playing online allows you to choose the table of your choice.

Another point of difference is the speed of the games. While the dealer has to calculate the returns, spin the wheel and move the chips around the table, it’s all done faster online, giving you more spins and less waiting time. Of course, you can combine the two by playing one of the live roulette games on offer.
And of course experienced online players will know that betting sites regularly offer bonuses and promotions to enhance the roulette gaming experience, offers that cannot be approved in physical form.

The online Penny Roulette table only allows you to make a single bet for cents (or pennies), while the Diamond Roulette game allows bets from $1/£ to $100/£ with a table cap of $25,000/£. These are just two of the many roulette tables available right now where you can start spinning those reels!

Roulette is one of the more popular casino games because it is easy to learn and offers a variety of ways to play at the table. There is much more to this game than the thrill of spinning a wheel.
We have put together this guide to help both new and experienced roulette players. We’ll cover the basics of how to play the game and give you tips to get you ready to play at an online casino.
Roulette tables are easy to find in casinos, but the concept is similar online. There is a wheel with slots for the numbers 1 to 36, with the numbers being either red or black. There are also one or two zero slots that are green.

Players can place bets until the dealer ends the betting session. After all the bets have been placed, the dealer spins the wheel and drops a small marble-sized ball into it, which spins in the opposite direction. The ball will land in one of the marked slots and determine which bets will be paid out.
When playing roulette, there are many types of bets on the outside and inside of the table. Each bet has its own probability of winning and different odds that reflect this percentage. Let’s break it down.
All options on the outer edge of the betting board have an outside bet. Half of the possible outcomes in roulette games involve outside bets. Since there is a high probability of winning such bets, your payout is not as big as other betting options.
Inside bets refer to specific numbers and sets of numbers on the inside of the roulette betting table. They have a lower probability of winning than outside bets, but have a higher payout.
Roulette Tables So Crown Casino
You can play this popular game in person or online with your casino app. It honestly depends on what you prefer as a casino player, as both options have pros and cons.
If you’re looking for a more social environment, this is the way to go. You can dress up and enjoy the company of other roulette players at the table. There’s also something to be said for physically placing your bets and always having those chips in hand.
The obvious downside is that the table can get very crowded, especially if you visit the casino on a weekend. This can be extremely difficult for new players, but the crowded tables make it difficult to get to the betting table.
Playing roulette online can be extremely convenient as you can do it without leaving the comfort of your home. You never have trouble finding a seat at the table and you don’t have to worry about reaching someone else to place your bet.
