Day 02 - Local Food Sampling And Hawker Lunch Night Out At Marina Bay

Discover the twin faces of Chinatown this morning. Today’s walking tour will cover Sago Lane, Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, Ang Siang Hill and Club Street.

Taste the flavors of Singapore with food sampling at Maxwell Market, home to Tian Tian Chicken Rice, a stall so good that even the late Anthony Bourdain declared the “chicken rice is so fragrant and delicious that it can be eaten on its own”. You will also have the opportunity to sample traditional Singaporean breakfast of Kaya Toast coupled with coffee or tea.

We continue on to Hawker Chan where you will enjoy a Michelin Star Hawker lunch. The day winds down with a trishaw ride through Singapore’s clean streets. Your tour ends at Bugis Village with shopping at Bugis Street Market.

After some time to relax, head to Gardens by the Bay for a colorful evening. Watch the SuperTree Grove come alive with an exhilarating display of lights and sound at night! Be amazed with a birds-eye view of the city and Marina Bay from the top

At Lau Pa Sat Festival Village, we sample satays with ketupat (rice cakes) in the only Satay Street in Singapore. A busy street in the day but as night falls, plastic folding tables and chairs are setup along with the burning charcoal fires. Time will be given for you to have a quick dinner with the guide introducing the wide variety of local and international foods at the Festival Market.

Day 03 - Heritage Foodelicious Full Day Tour

Serving up a true melting pot of flavours and food, Singapore’s cultural diversity is reflected through the array of local cuisines comprising of Chinese, Malay, Indian and Peranakan. The word Peranakan translates roughly to ‘locally born and bred’, with the popular idea being that Chinese immigrants married locals; resulting in a unique culture with entirely new traditional beliefs, clothes and cuisine. Tour to cover Peranakan Museum, Geylang, Joo Chiat and Katong. Tonight your evening is at leisure.

Day 04 - Singapore

AM – Essence Of Singapore Tour

Embark on a colourful journey into the history, lifestyle and unique character of the Peranakan Babas (the men) and Nonyas (the women). Take a walk through the SpiceGarden which sits on the original site of the first Botanic Gardens and uncover the intricacies of spices and herbs that go into Peranakan cookingA fascinating display of Peranakan costume, embroidery, beadwork, jewellery, porcelain, furniture and craftwork provides insight into the captivating culture of the Peranakans. Wander through the bustling enclaves of Katong & Joo Chiatthat showcases the rich and baroque Peranakan architecture. Admire rows of colourful traditional shophouses that dates back to the 1920s and 1930s. A sampling of Nonya Delicacies will complete the trail.

PM – Singapore By Night

In the evening, enjoy the beautiful night scene along the Singapore River while dining on a Bento dinner of local fare. Choice of either Hainanese Chicken Rice or Sweet & Sour Fish. Take in the most breathtaking views of the Singapore skyline as we cruise along the historic Singapore River passing by Clarke Quay, Boat Quay and Marina Bay. View the passing of time as your bumboat cruise pass centuries old towns to the ultra- modern and iconic Marina Bay Sands. Our last stop this evening will be at the historic Long Bar which has been fully restored for a taste of Singapore’s very own concoction, ‘the Singapore Sling’, (included for those who have booked the tour with this option). As the saying goes, ‘If you have not been to Raffles, you have not been to Singapore’. You are welcome to continue the tradition of throwing peanut shells on the floor as you sip on a chilled glass of the hand-shaken Singapore Sling.
